Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost more to purchase a Primrose awning through you?

No the price we charge is the same price on Primrose’ website. But we do charge a £50 handling fee on to the total price for us to handle the order for you.

What width awning do I need?

We recommend that you purchase an awning at last 0.5m-1m wider than the doorway/window you are looking to shade.

What is the difference between half cassette and full cassette?

The difference between the 2 models is, if you were to stand under the Half Cassette awning you would be able to see the arms, roller and motor. Whereas with a Full Cassette model, this would be fully enclosed, so you would just see the underside of the cassette.

Can I use my primrose awning in heavy wind/rain?

No, the awning is made for shading against sun protection/light rain and shouldn’t be used in heavy wind or rain. We would only suggest light rain/wind.

If you leave the awning out in the rain, it can cause the fabric to stretch or cause more damage to the awning/structure to the house. If this happens, we recommend to retract the awning (either manually or electronically) before the fabric starts collecting with water to prevent any damage being caused to the awning. Then on the next `dry’ day, open the awning fully to allow the fabric to fully dry out.
